Three Peace Band -- 60s & 70s Music in the Texas Hill Country
As the Three Peace Band takes you back to San Francisco where we all wore "flowers in our hair", when the moon was once in the Seventh House and Jupiter aligned with Mars, you can experience a bit of nostalgia, far out times, and peace, love, & rock and roll.
Rick Jeter, Karen Haile and Cynthia Anderson are the Three Peace Band. They sing cover songs in various venues in the Texas Hill Country area by artists such as Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Fleetwood Mac, the Beatles, Paul Simon and the Eagles. To add a little variety, the band sings some country and originals by Rick. Fans of the group say it is the trio's harmony, humor and heart that makes them unique. Rick, Karen and Cynthia have an amazing chemistry that brightens the stage when they arrive. They interact with the audience with great confidence which makes for a fun time, filled with laughter and nostalgia. The goal of the group is to "take you back" to high school, college or even Jr. High. Just close your eyes and imagine your first kiss, your many romances and your teenage angst.
Rick, Karen, and Cynthia became friends years ago, when they supported their talented children in theatre at Bandera High School. Now those children have graduated and moved on with their own creative pursuits, providing time for the three to pursue their own artistic endeavor - the Three Peace Band.
Since their inception in September of 2010, the band has performed at the Dogleg Coffeehouse in Bandera, Alamo Springs Cafe in Fredericksburg, Tin Roof Steakhouse and Purple Iguana in Boerne, Pike's Place in Pipe Creek, Hermann Sons Steakhouse in Hondo, Williams Creek Depot in Tarpley, Relay for Life Bandera, Utopia Peace Out Party, Bandera Riverfest and Wild Hog Explosion, Bandera Chamber of Commerce Mixer, 11th St. Cowboy Bar, and numerous private parties.
As Karen often says, "be sure to come out and see us and bring your friends, but only your coolest friends!"
